I build systems
that make
complicated
things legible.
I'm an engineer who builds the layer that closes the gap between a system and the person who depends on it — and makes sure that gap gets closed for the people usually left out of the room.
"I build the layer that closes the gap between an intricate system and the person who depends on it."
Where This
Started.
"Beyond the Seat: Creating Impact Without Waiting for Permission"
It started with something small: watching people in my community try to make sense of a tax policy written only in English. What should have been a straightforward compliance question turned into guesswork, passed hand to hand until the details didn't resemble the original text anymore.
A policy that only exists in one language is a transmission problem before it's anything else — no different from a signal that never reaches its receiver.
My engineering background gave me a way to think about that. That lens is the thread running through everything I build.
Alongside the engineering, I've spoken about this at TEDxTanke — a talk called "Beyond the Seat: Creating Impact Without Waiting for Permission" — and I sit on youth policy bodies where the same question keeps showing up: who gets left out when a system is built for the average case, and what does it take to build for everyone else instead.
Experience Log
// AI & ML TRAINEE
RAIN — AI & ML Internship Trainee
Built a real-time multimodal AI agent that reads vision, language, and audio together to generate step-by-step guidance for everyday tasks in African contexts. Kaanta AI itself grew out of this internship.
// RESEARCH INTERN
NIGCOMSAT
Built an AI-powered data visualization platform, using React and Power BI, to track satellite-based energy consumption for real-time resource management. Improved demo reliability nationwide through lazy loading and code splitting, ahead of the Nigerian Satellite Week Accelerator Demo Day.
Kaanta AI
In my community, a tax policy existed only in English — so compliance stopped being a legal question and became a language one first.
I built Kaanta AI to close that gap: a WhatsApp assistant that reads the same policy back in Yorùbá, Igbo, Hausa, and Pidgin, so someone can understand what's asked of them without a translator standing between them and the law. I lead it as founder and CTO.
We've since repositioned Kaanta as infrastructure the Nigeria Revenue Service itself could run on — not a workaround for a language gap, but the layer that closes it at the source.
Featured Projects
Arziki Platform
Smart inventory management platform featuring a conversational chatbot interface for interactive inventory data queries and predictive stock insights.
Low-Resource NMT for African Languages
Fine-tuning NLLB-200 with LoRA, data augmentation, and quality control for Yorùbá, Igbo, and Hausa translation.
Air Quality & CO2 Prediction
Predictive machine learning algorithms forecasting atmospheric CO2 concentrations utilizing environmental sensor telemetry.
Major Update News
A Nigerian breaking news and blog platform covering politics, national affairs, and local government stories.

Engineering breakthroughs cannot exist in a vacuum. Technical architectures must be paired with equitable public policy, institutional collaboration, and grassroots advocacy to create enduring societal transformation.
I sit on youth policy bodies where the same question that shapes my engineering keeps showing up: who gets left out when a system is built for the average case.
Oyo State Youth Parliament — Afijio Constituency
Represented youth policy priorities at the state level. Led publicity and coordination for a Permanent Voter Card registration drive with INEC that registered over 2,000 youth voters ahead of the 2023 election, ran digital-skills workshops teaching programming and data analysis to more than 50 young people, and sat on the SDGs Committee reviewing policy and organizing public consultations.
EU Youth Sounding Board (Nigeria)
Advise the EU Delegation to Nigeria and ECOWAS on digital transformation policy, governance frameworks, and technology adoption — spanning sustainable infrastructure, climate resilience, and economic inclusion.
Education & Languages
B.Eng., Information & Communication Engineering
Federal University of Technology, Akure
Expected August 2026
Climate Change AI Summer School, Mila — Quebec AI Institute, Montréal (2023)
It quietly backs up the whole language-access thesis running through my work — it's true of me personally, not just the product.
Interactive Terminal
Direct query interface to inspect engineering credentials, repository specs, and platform telemetry.
